The Regional Obstetrical Consultants class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on September 24, 2025, and covers approximately 25,787 consumers whose information was potentially compromised during the May 2024 data breach.
The court-approved Regional Obstetrical settlement website can be found at ROCDataSettlement.com.
According to the website, Regional Obstetrical settlement class members who submit a valid, timely claim form have multiple options for reimbursement. Class members who submit with a valid claim form documented proof of extraordinary out-of-pocket expenses are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of up to $7,500, referred to as “Cash Payment A” on all court documents. The settlement agreement outlines that reimbursable extraordinary costs cannot be covered by any other payment option, must have been incurred as a result of the data breach, and include those related to identity theft, fraud, credit monitoring, and identity theft insurance.
Alternatively, the settlement site lists that class members who submit with their claim form documented proof of ordinary out-of-pocket expenses are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of up to $2,000, referred to as “Cash Payment B” on all court documents. The agreement further details that costs covered under the ordinary-expense reimbursement option include unreimbursed losses stemming from the data breach related to identity theft or fraud, freezing or unfreezing credit, and miscellaneous charges such as postage or notary fees.
Finally, in lieu of documented losses, class members with a valid claim form are also eligible to receive an alternative one-time cash payment of $50, referred to as “Cash Payment C” on all court documents, the site relays.
To submit a claim form, settlement class members can head to this page and enter the unique ID and PIN as found in their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF of the claim form once available on the website here, fill it out, and return it by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Regional Obstetrical Consultants settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by February 15, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the ROC settlement at a hearing on March 2, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval is granted and any appeals are resolved.
The Regional Obstetrical Consultants class action lawsuit claimed that the maternal healthcare provider based in Tennessee and Georgia did not implement proper security measures and experienced a data breach on or around May 6, 2024 that enabled an unauthorized third party to allegedly access patients’ personal information.
