According to the website, Wescom settlement class members who submit a valid, timely claim form have multiple options for reimbursement. Those who submit with their claim form documented proof of ordinary losses linked to the Barracuda Networks data breach are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of up to $500, along with compensation for up to three hours of lost time, at a rate of $20 per hour, spent remedying issues related to the data breach.
The settlement agreement outlines that reimbursable expenses must be traceable to the data breach, and include costs related to bank fees, phone charges, data charges, credit report fees, credit monitoring and insurance products.
Class members who submit with their claim form documented proof of extraordinary losses are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment up to $1,500, settlement documents state. The agreement adds that reimbursable extraordinary expenses must be traceable to the Wescom data breach and not covered by an ordinary-loss payout.
Per the settlement agreement, Barracuda Networks class members may elect to receive their payout via check or electronic payment, and all checks must be cashed within 90 days after issuance before expiration.
In addition to either monetary payout option, all Barracuda settlement class members will automatically receive a free one-year membership to three-bureau credit monitoring through CyEx, which provides at least $1 million in fraud insurance and identity protection online.
Class members do not need to file a claim to activate the credit monitoring service, and enrollment codes can be found in a class member’s copy of the settlement notice.
To submit a Barracuda claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the class member ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Consumers who believe they may be a Barracuda-Wescom class member but did not receive a settlement notice should contact the settlement administrator to confirm their identity and receive their login information.
Alternatively, class members may download a PDF of the claim form from the Barracuda settlement site to print, fill out and return by mail to the address listed near the bottom of the document.
All Wescom Credit Union settlement claim forms must be submitted online or by mail by January 27, 2026.
