Two individuals formerly employed by Newbold Services, LLC and IH Services, Inc. have filed a proposed collective action against the janitorial services companies to recover allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiffs claim site workers were required by the defendants to take two 15-minute breaks during each shift, yet were not paid for this time. The defendants, the complaint alleges, failed to pay site workers time-and-a-half hourly wages for every hour worked past 40 in many, if not all, workweeks.
