Memorial Health Services has agreed to a $750,000 settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged the healthcare group installed tracking pixels in its MyChart portal that transmitted patients’ private information and communications to third parties without their knowledge or consent.

The $750,000 Memorial Health Services class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on May 22, 2026. The deal covers all identifiable individuals who logged into Memorial Health Services’ MyChart patient portal from March 7, 2022 through July 8, 2022.
Court documents state that approximately 182,303 people are covered by the class action settlement.

Memorial Health Services (MHS) settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive a pro rata cash payment, with no proof required. The final amount of this payout will be based on the total number of valid claims filed, among other factors.
To submit an MHS MyChart settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the login ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All MHS claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than August 21, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the Memorial Health Services settlement final approval following a hearing on September 17, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Memorial Health Services class action lawsuit alleged that the nonprofit healthcare organization disclosed patients’ personal information and communications to third parties—including Meta—without their knowledge or consent via hidden tracking pixels embedded in its MyChart patient portal, allegedly in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act.
