Amazulu Transport, Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed collective action that claims it misclassified its employees as independent contractors and failed to pay them proper wages. The plaintiff, a driver for the rental car transport company, says he often works more than 40 hours per week without receiving time-and-a-half overtime pay. He further alleges that the defendant requires him to wait for rental car companies to “prepare and provide” vehicles without compensating him for the time he spends waiting.
