Belle Tire Distributors, Inc. has agreed to a settlement to conclude a class action lawsuit that alleged the tire and auto service company failed to protect private information in its care from a June 2024 cyberattack.

The Belle Tire class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on April 28, 2026. The deal covers all individuals whose private information was exposed to unauthorized parties as a result of the data breach discovered by Belle Tire on or before June 11, 2024.
Court documents state that approximately 29,000 people are covered by the settlement.

Belle Tire settlement class members who file a valid, timely claim form can receive reimbursement of 150%, up to $1,000, of documented losses incurred between June 11, 2024 and July 27, 2026 as a result of the breach. This benefit covers losses related to identity theft or fraud and the costs of credit reports, credit monitoring, freezing or unfreezing credit, replacement IDs, and more.
Class members must provide proof, such as receipts or bank statements, to receive a documented-loss payout.
In lieu of a documented-loss payout, class members can instead file a claim to receive an alternative pro rata cash payment, with no proof required. Each class member’s cash payout will be an equal share of a $75,000 settlement fund.
To file a Belle Tire settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and log in using the unique ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF of the claim form to print, fill out, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Belle Tire settlement claim forms must be submitted online or by mail by July 27, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Belle Tire Distributors data breach settlement following a hearing on September 2, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval is granted and any appeals are resolved.
The Belle Tire Distributors class action lawsuit claimed that the tire and auto service company failed to implement adequate cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive information in its computer systems, which allegedly led to a data breach identified by the company on or around June 11, 2024.
Per court documents, private information potentially exposed during the breach included names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license numbers.
