The Belkin false advertising class action settlement received preliminary court approval on December 10, 2025, and covers all consumers who purchased any Belkin power bank in California, including on Amazon.com, between January 2, 2016, and April 16, 2024.
The court-approved website for the Belkin settlement can be found at MileyClassActionSettlement.com.
According to the website, Belkin settlement class members have multiple options for reimbursement. Those who received an email or mail notice of the class action settlement do not need to do anything to automatically receive a one-time $5 voucher to be used on any purchase from www.belkin.com. Settlement documents outline that this voucher will be valid for one year after issuance and cannot be split into multiple transactions.
Class members who do not want a voucher can instead submit a timely, valid claim form to receive a one-time cash payment of $2. Class members may elect to receive this cash payout via check or electronic payment upon filing an exchange request or a claim form, the agreement relays.
Importantly, class members who would prefer to receive a $2 cash payout in place of the voucher must submit an exchange request if they received a copy of the settlement notice with a unique ID and PIN number, and those who did not receive notice must file instead a claim form to receive a cash payout.
Additionally, as part of the settlement, Belkin has agreed to change its product packaging to more accurately represent the actual power of its power banks, and also request that third-party retailers, such as Amazon.com, update their advertising to be more consistent with Belkin’s label changes.
To submit a Belkin settlement exchange request or claim form online, class members can visit this page, select which form applies to them and answer all relevant fields to receive reimbursement. Alternatively, class members may download a PDF of the claim form or exchange request from the settlement website to print, complete and return by mail to the address of the settlement administrator.
All Belkin settlement claim forms and exchange requests must be submitted online or postmarked by March 30, 2026.
The court will decide whether to grant final approval to the Belkin settlement at a hearing on June 12, 2026. Compensation will be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Belkin false advertising class action lawsuit alleged that the consumer electronics company led consumers to believe that the amount of power its power banks had was higher by falsely advertising that the milliampere-hour (mAh) number on the bank’s packaging was the amount of power it could deliver, when this figure actually referred to the size of the power bank’s internal battery.
