The $975,000 SpotHero class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on May 29, 2026. The deal covers all individuals who, between July 1, 2024 and March 13, 2025, purchased at least one parking reservation through SpotHero.com or through SpotHero’s mobile app while in California and used the “Map View” option to search for the parking spot.
The court-approved website for the SpotHero class action settlement can be found at SHPricingSettlement.com.
SpotHero settlement class members who file a timely, valid claim form can receive a pro rata cash payment.
SpotHero class members who do not submit a claim form or opt out of the deal will automatically receive a credit voucher, deposited to their SpotHero wallet, that can be put toward any purchase from SpotHero, including for taxes and fees, for 36 months after issuance. Credit vouchers can be stacked or combined with other discounts, offers or credits provided by SpotHero, and any unused credits can be put toward future orders.
The average settlement payout per class member will be approximately $4.76. The final amount of each class member’s cash payment or credit voucher may increase or decrease, depending on the average amount in service fees they paid SpotHero.
To submit a SpotHero settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the notice ID and confirmation code found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All SpotHero claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by August 25, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the SpotHero settlement final approval following a hearing on September 18, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The SpotHero class action lawsuit alleged that the parking reservation service engaged in “drip pricing” by failing to disclose the total price of parking reservations, including service fees, to consumers until near the end of the checkout process, allegedly in violation of California’s Unfair Competition Law and Consumer Legal Remedies Act.
