$8.16M Brooklyn Bedding Settlement Wraps Up Class Action Lawsuit Over Allegedly Inflated Reference Prices

Brooklyn Bedding and Night US, LLC have agreed to an $8,163,000 settlement to wrap up a class action lawsuit that alleged the mattress sellers used inflated reference or original prices to deceptively market purported online discounts.

The $8,163,000 Brooklyn Bedding class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on June 26, 2026. The deal covers all individuals who, while physically in California or as a resident of the state, purchased one or more mattresses advertised at a discount from any of the following websites during the applicable time periods:

• -Leesa.com from July 28, 2019 to March 11, 2024;
• -BrooklynBedding.com from September 5, 2020 to March 31, 2024;
• -HelixSleep.com from October 2, 2020 to March 31, 2024; or
• -BearMattress.com from June 4, 2021 to April 1, 2024.

Court documents state that, per Brooklyn Bedding’s records, class members purchased roughly 74,212 mattresses advertised at a discount from the above-listed websites during the class periods.

Brooklyn Bedding settlement class members can receive a $110 award—either as cash or a voucher—for each mattress they bought at an advertised discount from the defendants’ websites during the applicable time period.

Class members must submit a claim form to receive a cash payment; those who do not submit a claim form will automatically receive their class action settlement payment in the form of a credit voucher.

The $110 credit voucher is good toward any purchase from the website where the class member placed their initial order. For example, if a class member purchased a mattress from BrooklynBedding.com, they will receive a credit voucher that is redeemable only on BrooklynBedding.com.

Credit vouchers may be combined with any other sale or discount, are stackable, may be transferred and are valid for three years after the date of issuance.

To submit a Brooklyn Bedding settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the ID and confirmation code found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.

All Brooklyn Bedding claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than September 25, 2026.

The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Brooklyn Bedding settlement following a hearing on October 16, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.

The Brooklyn Bedding class action lawsuit alleged that the mattress manufacturer inflated reference prices for mattresses sold on Leesa.com, BrooklynBedding.com, HelixSleep.com, and BearMattress.com, then advertised items for sale at a steep discount from the false reference price, allegedly in violation of California consumer protection laws.
