Emanate Health Medical Center has agreed to a $777,000 settlement to wrap up a class action lawsuit that alleged the hospital network embedded tracking pixels and analytics tools on its website that surreptitiously shared visitors’ personal health information with third parties without consent.

The $777,000 Emanate Health Medical Center class action settlement received preliminary court approval on June 1, 2026. The agreement covers all identifiable individuals who logged into the Emanate patient portal, and/or submitted an online form and/or scheduled an appointment on Emanate’s public website, EmanateHealth.org, at any time from August 30, 2019 to April 30, 2024.
Court documents indicate that approximately 38,850 people are members of the settlement class.

Class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive a pro rata cash payment, with no proof required.
The final amount of each class member’s cash payout may increase or decrease, depending on the total number of valid claims filed, among other factors.
To submit an Emanate Health settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the settlement claim ID found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Emanate Health claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by September 29, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the Emanate Health settlement final approval following a hearing on November 19, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Emanate Health Medical Center class action lawsuit alleged that the Covina, California-based hospital network transmitted private patient information to third parties, including Meta, via tracking pixels and analytics tools embedded in its website without obtaining patient consent.
