SportsEdTV has agreed to a $500,000 settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged that sports education company unlawfully disclosed consumers’ private video viewing information to third parties without consent.

The $500,000 SportsEdTV class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on June 26, 2026. The deal covers United States residents identified in SportsEdTV’s records as having watched videos on SportsEdTV.com at any time from May 9, 2023 to May 16, 2025.
Court documents state that 1,264 SportsEdTV subscribers are included in the settlement class.

SportsEdTV settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive a pro rata cash payment, with no proof required.
Class members who are California residents will receive twice as much for their cash payment due to California privacy law.
The amount each class member receives from the settlement will depend on the total number of valid claims filed.
As part of the class action settlement, SportsEdTV has deactivated the Facebook pixel on its website so as to not share specific information and customer transaction data with third parties, except as permitted by law.
To submit a SportsEdTV settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the login ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All SportsEdTV claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by September 10, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the SportsEdTV settlement final approval following a hearing on February 8, 2027. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The SportsEdTV class action lawsuit alleged that the sports education company disclosed to third parties without permission private information that identified an individual as having requested or obtained specific video materials or services, allegedly in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act and California Invasion of Privacy Act.
