Playstudios settlement class members do not need to submit a claim form to receive in-app virtual currency from the settlement. The amount of virtual currency each class member will receive will be equal to 27 percent of Playstudios’ revenues from the claimant’s spending amount during the applicable time period in an eligible state, minus each class member’s pro rata platform fees of 30 percent and certain other costs.
In lieu of virtual currency, class members who file a timely, valid election form can receive a cash payment equal to 23 percent of Playstudios’ revenues from the claimant during the applicable period, minus each class member’s pro rata platform fees of 30 percent and certain other costs.
The class action settlement agreement states that Playstudios’ revenues exclude any platform fees paid to or retained by a platform provider—that is, Amazon, Apple, Facebook and/or Google—in connection with the total amount of money a class member spent within Playstudios’ apps during the relevant time period in an eligible state.
The final amount of each class member’s cash payment may be reduced on a pro rata (proportional) basis should the total amount of cash elections exceed 17 percent of the total value of the settlement.
To file a Playstudios settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and select whether they have a settlement claim ID, which can be found on their copy of the settlement notice.
Alternatively, class members looking to receive a cash payment can download a PDF claim form (i.e., an election form) to print, complete and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Playstudios settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by October 21, 2026.
