Goldco Direct has agreed to a $2,000,000 settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging that the precious metals investment firm illegally sent excessive marketing texts to consumers on the Do Not Call Registry.

The Goldco Direct correct class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on December 11, 2025 and covers all individuals in the United States who, during the four years prior to case filing, received more than one marketing text within a 12-month period from Goldco after requesting to unsubscribe (and did not re-opt in to receiving messages), and whose phone number was listed on the National Do Not Call Registry when the messages were sent, in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

According to the website, Goldco settlement class members who submit a valid, timely claim form are eligible to receive a one-time, pro-rated cash payment. The final amount of this payment, the agreement explains, be determined based on the total number of valid claims filed and what remains in the net settlement fund after the payment of attorneys’ fees, settlement administration costs, and lead plaintiff service awards.
The settlement administrator will issue payouts to eligible class members via check. The settlement site notes that all checks must be cashed within 90 days of issuance before expiration.
To submit a Goldco Direct claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the unique ID and PIN as listed on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members may download a PDF of the claim form to print, fill out and return by mail to the address of the settlement administrator listed on the first page of the document.
Consumers who believe they may be a Goldco settlement class member but did not receive a notice can contact the settlement administrator to confirm their identity and obtain their login information.
All Goldco Direct settlement claim forms must be submitted online or by mail by April 10, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Goldco Direct TCPA settlement at a hearing on March 26, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval is granted and any appeals are resolved.
The Goldco Direct class action lawsuit alleged that the investment firm, which specialized in gold and silver IRAs, unlawfully sent more than one marketing message to consumers who had opted out of texts and had their phone number on the National Do-Not-Call Registry within a 12-month period in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
