There will be a hearing on August 1, 2025 to determine whether the settlement will receive final approval from the court. In the event that final approval is granted, compensation will begin to be distributed within 30 days of the day the finalized deal goes into effect.
According to the settlement website, an estimated 154,000 people may be eligible for Displate class action settlement benefits.
The Displate class action lawsuit alleged that Displate.com displayed purportedly limited-time sales on items to incentivize quicker purchase decisions. The complaint claimed, however, that due to the near-constant nature of these sales, discounts and promotions, the purported deals could not actually be considered sales and instead allegedly represented the true price of the items, thus depriving consumers of the bargains they were promised.
