The Dove Healthcare Management Services class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on March 4, 2026. The deal covers all individuals in the United States whose private information was potentially accessed during the July 2024 data breach, including all who were sent notice of the incident.
Approximately 16,255 people were impacted by the Dove Healthcare data breach, the settlement website says.
The court-approved website for the Dove Healthcare Management Services data breach settlement can be found at DoveHealthcareSettlement.com.
According to the website, Dove Healthcare settlement class members who file a timely, valid claim form can receive up to $3,000 for reasonable documented losses stemming from the data breach. Class members must submit proof, such as receipts or correspondence, to receive a documented-expense payment from the class action settlement.
Class members can also receive compensation for up to three hours of lost time spent responding to the data breach, at a rate of $20 per hour. To receive a lost-time payment, class members must include with their claim form a brief description of the actions taken in response to the data breach.
In lieu of a documented-loss/lost-time payment, class members may instead file a claim form to receive a cash payment of approximately $50, with no proof required.
Settlement payouts may be reduced based on the total number of valid claims filed so as not to exceed the $150,000 cash payment cap, the website states.
In addition to either cash benefit option, all class members are eligible to receive a code for two years of one-bureau credit monitoring and identity theft insurance, the agreement says.
To file a Dove Healthcare Management Services settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and log in using the unique ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members may download a PDF of the claim form to print, fill out and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Dove Healthcare settlement claim forms must be submitted online or by mail by July 6, 2026.
Finally, as part of the class action settlement, Dove Healthcare has agreed to implement certain cybersecurity enhancements in response to the data breach.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Dove Healthcare Management Services data breach settlement following a hearing on July 20, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval is granted and any appeals are resolved.
The Dove Healthcare Management Services class action lawsuit claimed that the Wisconsin-based group of nursing and assisted living facilities failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect the personal information of current and former patients and employees in the lead-up to a data breach on or around July 6, 2024.
Per court documents, private information that may have been accessible during the breach included full names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, treatment information, medical history, medical record numbers, health insurance information and facial photographs.
