Filed: September 28, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv24012
America’s International Trade Services, Inc. and Jose – Salmon Services Corp have been named as defendants in a former employee’s wage and hour lawsuit.
Florida
America’s International Trade Services, Inc.; Jose – Salmon Services Corp; and two individuals who control the day-to-day operations of the companies have been named as defendants in a former employee’s wage and hour lawsuit.
The plaintiff worked as an hourly paid warehouseman and forklift operator for the defendants from June 2016 to September 2018, the suit says. During the plaintiff’s tenure, the case continues, the man put in an average of 76 hours each week but failed to receive time-and-a-half overtime wages when his weekly hours exceeded 40.
The complaint further alleges the defendants “willfully and intentionally” violated federal labor law by failing to investigate their own payroll practices to ensure the plaintiff was being paid properly.
