Surround Protection & Investigations, LLC and its owner are facing a proposed class action filed by a former security guard who claims he worked well over 40 hours per week without being paid proper overtime wages. The defendants, who provide armed and unarmed security services, allegedly employed a policy of not paying proposed class members at the time-and-a-half hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 in a week in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
