The SSM Health class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on September 2, 2025 and covers anyone in the United States, including the District of Columbia and all territories, who is or was an SSM Health patient and logged into the SSM Health MyChart patient portal between July 6, 2020 and February 10, 2023.
The court-approved website for the SSM Health settlement can be found at SSMHealthDataSettlement.com.
Any SSM Health settlement class member is eligible to sign up for one year of CyEx Privacy Shield Pro using the code and instructions found at the top of their SSM Health settlement notice. This service, per court documents, includes CyEx’s dark web monitoring, Password Scan, private search, VPN In Touch, Password Defense, Data Broker Opt-Out and Digital Vault services.
Additionally, class members who submit a timely, valid claim form will be able to receive a cash payout of $31.50, which will be mailed by check unless an alternative payment method—PayPal, Venmo or Zelle—is selected on the claim form.
All checks from the SSM Health settlement will expire and become void 180 days after they are issued, the settlement website notes.
To submit an SSM Health claim form online, class members can visit this page and log in with the unique ID and PIN found in their copy of the settlement notice.
Alternatively, a PDF of the claim form is available to print, fill out and mail back to the address listed on the first page of the form.
All class action settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked on or before November 25, 2025.
A hearing is scheduled for November 21, 2025 to determine whether the SSM Health MyChart settlement will receive final court approval. Settlement benefits will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The SSM Health class action lawsuit claimed that the company knowingly and illegally transmitted patients’ sensitive personal and/or health information to Meta, formerly known as Facebook, and other third parties without consent.
According to court documents, approximately 1.239 million people are eligible to participate in the SSM Health settlement.
