Peng’s Body Work Inc., which does business as Taiji Body Work, has been hit with a collective action complaint in New York that says the defendants, which also include two individuals, willfully violated federal and state labor laws. The suit claims the defendants failed to pay the plaintiff and proposed collective members overtime compensation for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek. It also alleges the workers weren’t paid the spread-of-hours premium rate when their shifts lasted longer than 10 hours in a day.
