A class action lawsuit filed today claims Universal Pallets, Quality Pallets and their owner ignored Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations by failing to pay federally required overtime and minimum wages. Filed in Florida, the lawsuit alleges the plaintiff—a pallet dis-assembler and livestock tender who worked for the defendants for more than a decade—worked an average of 54 hours per week during the period between November 2013 and November 2014 without receiving time-and-a-half overtime pay.
