A class action has been filed in New York against Crispy Delight Corp., the operators of Crispy Delight Bakery on Long Island, and its owner claiming they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to pay proper overtime wages. The plaintiff, a former baker, claims he worked six days per week—regularly totaling 60 hours or more—and was paid a flat $600 per week regardless of how many hours he actually worked. The complaint also claims the plaintiff was denied spread-of-hours pay, owed in New York to those who work shifts longer than 10 hours in a day.
