A class action over alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and New York labor law violations has been filed against Lower East Side Coffee Shop by a former server who says he and other workers were not paid proper minimum and overtime wages. The lawsuit claims the employees regularly worked more than 40 hours per week—and sometimes more than 10 hours per day—without receiving the time-and-a-half overtime rate or spread-of-hours pay.
