Filed: November 9, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-24137-MGC
A cook claims M and G Supermarket owes unpaid overtime wages for hours worked past 40 each workweek.
An individual employed as a cook by M and G Supermarket Inc. from April 2013 through early November 2017 has sued the company and two individuals with control over the business to recover supposedly unpaid overtime wages. The lawsuit, filed in Florida, claims the plaintiff worked an average of 54 hours per week for the defendants without being paid time-and-a-half hourly overtime for all weekly hours worked past 40. The plaintiff alleges the defendants’ potential Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations were willful and intentional.
