Filed: June 23, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-03798
A class action filed in New York claims Docks Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill's website is not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
New York
The RBM Group, which owns and operates Docks Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill in New York City, is the defendant in a proposed class action alleging the restaurant’s website, Docksoystterbar.com, is not compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). The plaintiff, a blind man, alleges he was unable to independently purchase a $100 gift card from Docksoysterbar.com, an ostensible “place of public accommodation,” due to numerous access barriers that prevent screen-reading software from navigating the site.
