Kind Patches Lawsuit Alleges Patches Cannot Meaningfully Increase Natural GLP-1 Levels As Advertised
Alaimo v. Kind Patches Limited
Filed: October 31, 2025 ◆§ 25-cv-6092
A class action lawsuit alleges that Kind Patches Limited has falsely advertised that its GLP-1 patches are effective for weight loss.
A class action lawsuit alleges that Kind Patches Limited has knowingly misled consumers into believing they were purchasing an effective GLP-1 antagonist or its equivalent for weight loss, when the GLP-1 patches sold by the company cannot produce the advertised effects.

The 31-page complaint claims that Kind Patches Limited falsely markets its GLP-1 patches as able to deliver effects comparable to those conferred by name-brand GLP-1 prescription medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy, despite evidence that so-called “natural” GLP-1 boosters are ineffective. Per the lawsuit, Kind Patches Limited “hawk[s] supposed natural patches and supplements” to capitalize on the GLP-1 craze.
The suit explains that GLP-1 medications like Ozempic work because they contain semaglutide, a synthetic GLP-1 receptor antagonist that can help people lose significant weight.
Per the filing, however, the Kind Patches at issue do not contain a GLP-1 antagonist, and instead contain “berberine extract, pomegranate extract, cinnamon extract, L-glutamine, and B vitamins.” These ingredients may have negligible health benefits, the suit states, citing a GLP-1 expert who said that “the evidence connecting them to meaningful weight loss - especially when delivered through a patch - is weak.”
“While naturally occurring GLP-1 is quickly processed by enzymes in the body, giving it a half-life of only 1-2 minutes, GLP-1 agonists are designed to resist enzymes, giving them half-lives as long as 7 days.
This longer half-life is what makes GLP-1 agonists an extremely effective weight loss tool, giving users the benefits of the GLP-1 hormone—such as slower digestion and feelings of satiety—for days rather than minutes.”
Despite the questionable efficacy of the ingredients, Kind Patches Limited continues to assert that the patches contain “clinically proven ingredients that deliver real results,” the lawsuit says. In fact, the lawsuit contends that Kind Patches Limited has doubled down on its marketing by using social media influencers to advertise the product.
According to the suit, influencers working with Kind Patches Limited were instructed to make direct comparisons between the GLP-1 patches and Ozempic. Additionally, the lawsuit claims that these influencers were encouraged to hold both an Ozempic pen and a GLP-1 patch while filming videos to visually imply that the two products are equivalent and interchangeable.
Per the filing, Kind Patches Limited uses these “false and misleading” statements to manipulate consumers into paying a premium for an ineffective weight GLP-1 patch.
While Kind Patches Limited has pivoted to calling its GLP-1 patches “Berberine Patches” to ostensibly mitigate allegations of false advertising, the lawsuit argues that the name change is insufficient. Even though the patches have different names, the case alleges, the marketing language around them is identical, and influencers and social media ads continue to describe them as a legitimate GLP-1 agonist.
The Kind Patches Limited class action lawsuit seeks to cover anyone in the United States who purchased the GLP-1 patches at issue within the relevant statute of limitations period.
