Jubilee Market Place Hit with FLSA Collective Action

99 John’s Market Place, Inc., which does business as Jubilee Market Place, and others are facing a collective action in New York claiming deli workers worked in excess of 40 hours per week without receiving overtime compensation. The suit claims that the workers were given no extra pay – not even straight time – for hours worked beyond 40 and were not paid the required “spread of hours” pay when their shifts lasted longer than 10 hours.
