Home Performance Alliance, Inc. is on the receiving end of a lawsuit filed by a former employee who seeks to recover allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff says she worked for the defendant performing door-to-door sales and was paid $10.00 per hour plus commission. According to the complaint, she was terminated in June 2017 and was not provided with her final pay. The suit argues that the plaintiff worked more than 40 hours per week at times but was denied the time-and-a-half overtime wages she should have been given under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
