Wyndham Hotels and Resorts LLC is facing a proposed class action filed by a former employee who claims the defendant discriminated against him based on his sex and disability. The plaintiff says he was employed as an assistant general manager at the defendant’s hotel between January 2013 and October 2015. He claims his female supervisor would “treat [the plaintiff] differently from the female employees” and would repeatedly make derogatory comments about men.
According to the suit, the plaintiff was promoted to a banquet manager position in October 2015 but was then terminated “due to his background and also for his medical condition (HIV).” He claims the defendant’s conduct caused him to lose wages and overtime pay.
