The court-authorized website for the Estrella Insurance data breach settlement can be found at EstrellaDataSettlement.com.
The deal with Estrella Franchising, LLC, which operates as Estrella Insurance, covers all United States residents whose personal information was accessed as a result of the Estrella Insurance data breach in January 2025.
To receive Estrella Insurance class action settlement benefits, eligible class members must submit a timely, valid claim form online or by mail by August 13, 2025.
Head to this page to submit a claim form through the official Estrella Insurance settlement website. Alternatively, you can contact the settlement administrator to request a paper copy to fill out and return by mail.
To file a claim form online, you will be asked to provide your last name and unique notice ID number, which can be found on the postcard settlement notice you should have received.
As part of the deal, Estrella class members can submit a claim form to receive one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services. This benefit is available even if a class member accepted Estrella Insurance’s previous offer, the settlement site states.
In addition, consumers may file a claim form to receive up to $1,000 per person for “ordinary” out-of-pocket losses incurred between January 22 and May 22, 2025 that are reasonably linked to the data breach and supported by documentation, the settlement agreement shares. Per the agreement, these expenses may include unreimbursed bank fees, phone or data charges, postage, gas, fees for credit monitoring or identity theft insurance services, and other miscellaneous monetary losses.
Class members can also submit a claim form to receive compensation for up to four hours of time spent dealing with problems related to the incident, at a rate of $25 per hour, the website relays.
The site further states that consumers may file a claim form for reimbursement of up to $5,000 per person for documented “extraordinary” losses that were “more likely than not” caused by the Estrella data breach and incurred between January 22 and May 22, 2025. These expenses must be so far unreimbursed and linked to fraud or misuse of personal information, the website explains.
Finally, as part of the deal, Estrella Insurance will take steps to enhance its data security protocols in response to the incident, the settlement agreement says.
The settlement received preliminary court approval on April 15, 2025. Next, the court must decide whether to grant final approval to the terms of the deal at a hearing on August 28, 2025.
According to the website, Estrella Insurance settlement payouts will be issued to eligible class members “as soon as possible,” should the court ultimately approve the deal and after any appeals are resolved.
