A former employee of Concept Auto, Inc. has filed suit against the company and two of its operators alleging that they failed to pay proper overtime wages in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. The plaintiff says he worked for the defendants as a car cleaner, detailer, and porter for approximately 58 hours per week but never received time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours he worked above 40. The suit alleges that the defendants were aware of the FLSA’s overtime requirements but “failed to investigate whether [their] payroll practices” complied with federal law.
