New York
An individual formerly employed as a counter attendant and pizza maker by Golden Pizza has sued the Bronx eatery and three individuals who run the business to recover allegedly unpaid minimum, time-and-a-half and spread-of-hours wages. The plaintiff, who worked for the defendants in various stretches between May 2012 and November 2017, claims he typically worked 62 hours per week for a fixed, cash salary. According to the case, the plaintiff was also never provided with meal or rest breaks during his employment, and never received mandatory wage notices required under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and New York Labor Law.
