AIS InfoSource Settlement Offers Cash, Credit Monitoring to Resolve Data Breach Lawsuit

AIS InfoSource, L.P. has agreed to a class action settlement to resolve a lawsuit that alleged the fintech and professional services firm failed to protect consumers’ information from unauthorized access, leading to a February 2025 data breach.

The AIS InfoSource settlement received preliminary approval from the court on May 19, 2026. The settlement covers all living United States residents who received notice, including notice of the AIS InfoSource class action settlement, that their personally identifiable information may have been involved in the cyber incident. 

Court documents state that roughly 23,499 people are eligible for the AIS InfoSource settlement. 

The court-approved website for the deal can be found at AISSettlement.com. 

Class members who file a valid, timely claim form can receive reimbursement of up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses incurred between February 16, 2025 and October 12, 2026 due to the AIS InfoSource data breach. This benefit covers losses from identity theft or fraud and costs of credit reports, credit monitoring, freezing/unfreezing credit, replacing IDs, and more.

Class members must submit proof, such as bank statements or receipts, to receive a documented-loss payout. 

AIS InfoSource class members can also submit a claim for reimbursement of up to four hours of lost time spent dealing with the data breach, at a rate of $20 per hour. This benefit covers time spent changing passwords, investigating suspicious account activity, and researching the cyber incident, among other activities related to the incident. 

Lastly, all class members can elect on their claim form to receive two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete, which includes one-bureau credit monitoring and financial fraud insurance.

To submit an AIS InfoSource claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the login ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, fill out and mail to the settlement administrator. 

Claim forms for the AIS InfoSource class action settlement must be submitted online or by mail by October 12, 2026. 

The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the AIS InfoSource data breach settlement following a hearing on October 13, 2026. Settlement benefits will begin to be distributed after the deal has received final approval and any appeals have been resolved. 

The lawsuit against AIS InfoSource alleged that the fintech firm, which specializes in back-office automation, compliance, outsourcing and data analytics, failed to ensure that the personally identifiable information in its care was secure from unauthorized access. Per the case, information compromised in the incident, which AIS InfoSource became aware of in February 2025, included names, Social Security numbers and financial account details.
