The $7,548,300 deal with Zale Delaware, Inc., which does business as Zales Jewelers, ends the TCPA lawsuit that claimed that Zales violated the federal law by sending promotional text messages without prior permission to cell phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry.
The Zales settlement covers all individuals in the United States to whom Zale Delaware sent more than one promotional text message within a 12-month period, when the consumer had not provided their phone number to the company, and it had been listed on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 30 days before receiving at least two texts from Zales within the one-year period.
According to the class action settlement agreement, the deal covers approximately 75,483 phone numbers.
As part of the Zales class action settlement, eligible class members who file a timely, valid claim form will receive a cash payment of up to $100, the official Zales settlement website says. Individual payout amounts will depend on the total number of valid claims that are submitted, the agreement shares.
The deadline to file a Zales settlement claim form is October 27, 2025.
Head to this page to submit a claim form online or download a personalized PDF copy to print, complete and return by mail.
To file a Zales claim form, you will need your unique claim ID and PIN, which can be found on the settlement notice you may have received about the deal. If you do not have this information, you may still submit a claim form by entering the phone number that Zales allegedly contacted.
The deal with Zales received preliminary court approval on July 28, 2025. Next, the court will determine whether to grant final approval to the terms of the Zales class action settlement at a hearing on November 17, 2025.
Zales settlement payouts will be issued to eligible class members only if the deal becomes final and after any appeals are resolved, the website notes.
