The Landmark Admin class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on August 8, 2025. The deal covers all individuals in the United States, including all territories and U.S. military installations worldwide, whose personal information was potentially accessed, compromised, implicated or otherwise impacted by the Landmark Admin data breach, including those who were mailed a notice of the incident.
The court-approved website for the Landmark Admin settlement can be found at LandmarkDataSettlement.com.
Landmark Admin settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form will be able to receive either up to $2,500 in reimbursement for documented monetary losses related to the data breach or a $30 cash payment.
In order to submit a claim for loss reimbursement, class members must submit supporting documentation for each monetary loss, all of which must have been more likely than not caused by the Landmark Admin data breach and have occurred after June 17, 2024, the settlement website states.
No proof is required in order to submit a claim for the $30 cash payment, which may be increased or decreased on a pro rata, or equal share, basis depending on the total number of valid claims filed, settlement documents say.
Class members may claim only one form of compensation, meaning they cannot claim both reimbursement and the cash payment, the class action settlement website specifies.
To submit a claim form online, class members can visit this page and log in with the unique settlement claim ID found in their copy of the settlement notice.
Alternatively, a PDF of the claim form is available to print, fill out and mail back to the address listed on the first page of the form.
All claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than December 26, 2025.
Additionally, as part of the class action settlement, Landmark Admin has agreed to implement various cybersecurity improvements to better protect the private information in its possession.
A hearing is scheduled for January 29, 2026 to determine whether the Landmark Admin settlement will receive final court approval. Payments will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Landmark Admin class action lawsuit claimed that the third-party life and annuity insurance administrator failed to properly safeguard the sensitive information in its possession against a data breach that occurred between May 13 and June 17, 2024.
