$4M V Shred Settlement Ends Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Online Video Privacy Violations

A $4 million settlement is set to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged that VShred, LLC disclosed website users’ personally identifiable data to third parties without consent.

The VShred class action settlement received preliminary court approval on May 13, 2025 and covers anyone who watched a video or participated in a quiz on VShred.com, or bought services or products from V Shred and/or its affiliate channels, including Amazon and Sculptnation, between January 1, 2022 and May 13, 2025.
The court-approved website for the class action settlement can be found at VShredPrivacySettlement.com.
Settlement class members who file a timely, valid claim form may receive a cash payment of $10. The V Shred settlement cash payment may be reduced on a pro rata, or equal share, basis depending on the number of claimants, court documents state.

To file a V Shred claim form online, settlement class members can head to this page and log in with the unique Class Member ID available in their settlement notice.
Alternatively, class members can download a PDF of the claim form to print, fill out and mail back to the address listed on the first page of the form.
All claimants must verify that they have an active Google, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, Meta or Snap account in order to receive the cash payment, court documents state.
All V Shred claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by August 11, 2025.
There will be a hearing on September 10, 2025 to determine whether the settlement will receive final court approval. Cash payments will begin to be distributed only if final approval is granted and after any appeals are resolved.
The class action lawsuit against V Shred alleged that the company was sharing consumer data with third parties without consent, in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act, California Invasion of Privacy Act and the Florida Security of Communications Act.
