$3M Aidvantage Settlement Resolves Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Robocalls

A $3 million Aidvantage settlement offers cash to consumers who received allegedly prerecorded calls without consent.

Aidvantage has agreed to a $3,000,000 settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged the student loan servicer called cell phones using an artificial or prerecorded voice without consent, in violation of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

The $3 million Aidvantage class action settlement received preliminary court approval on June 9, 2026. The deal covers all individuals in the United States to whom Aidvantage placed or caused to be placed a call, directed to a telephone number assigned to a cellular service but not assigned to a current or former Aidvantage customer or accountholder, in connection with which Aidvantage used or caused to be used an artificial or prerecorded voice, at any time from February 12, 2021 through September 26, 2025.
Court documents state that Aidvantage contacted approximately 32,188 cell phone numbers that were not associated with an accountholder.

Aidvantage settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive a pro rata cash payment estimated to be between $500 and $1,000.
The amount of each class member’s cash payout may increase or decrease, depending on the total number of valid claims filed, among other factors.
To submit an Aidvantage settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the class member ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice.
All Aidvantage claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by August 24, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the Aidvantage settlement final approval following a hearing on October 7, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Aidvantage class action lawsuit alleged that the federal student loan servicer sent prerecorded or artificial voice calls or messages to cell phone numbers that were not associated with its customers or accountholders without first obtaining express permission, in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
