The amended GoodRx class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on September 8, 2026, roughly eight months after United States District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín, for a second time, declined to initially approve the deal on the grounds that the plaintiffs failed to provide a claim-by-claim analysis outlining the amounts of money class members would recover if the consumers prevailed on all their claims, as well as a justification of the discount applied, among other deficiencies.
Eligible for the GoodRx settlement are all individuals in the United States who used any website, app or service made available by or through GoodRx at any time prior to April 20, 2024.
The court-approved GoodRx settlement website can be found at GoodRxPrivacySettlement.com.
Class members who file a timely, valid claim form can receive a pro rata (equal-share) cash payout from the $32 million settlement fund after certain expenses, taxes, attorneys’ fees and awards are deducted. The amount of money each class member might receive from the GoodRx settlement will depend on the total number of valid claims that are approved.
To file a GoodRx settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and fill out the required fields. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All GoodRx settlement claim forms must be filed online or by mail by December 29, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the GoodRx privacy settlement following a hearing on February 11, 2027. Settlement money will begin to be made available only after the settlement has received final approval and any appeals have been resolved.
The class action lawsuit against GoodRx alleged that the telehealth and prescription coupon company, between at least 2017 and 2020, disclosed users’ sensitive personal and health information—such as prescription and health condition details, email addresses and phone numbers—to advertising and analytics entities, including Criteo, Meta Platforms and Google, via software development kits and tracking pixels embedded in the GoodRx platform. The plaintiffs also alleged that Criteo, Meta and Google used GoodRx users’ information for their own purposes.
The initial lawsuit against GoodRx was filed in the wake of a February 1, 2023 Federal Trade Commission action that alleged the company violated FTC rules by disclosing users’ personally identifiable information and health details to third parties.
The amended settlement agreement between the plaintiffs, GoodRx and Criteo was entered into on November 17, 2025, court records show. The litigation will continue against Meta and Google, which were not part of the settlement.
