The Consulting Radiologists class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on October 30, 2025, and covers any individual residing in the United States whose private information may have been accessed during the 2024 data breach. Court documents estimate there are approximately 580,703 individuals covered by the settlement, including approximately 19,346 individuals whose Social Security numbers may have been compromised.
The court-approved website for the Consulting Radiologists data breach settlement can be found at CRDataSettlement.com.
Per the settlement website, Consulting Radiologists settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form have multiple options for reimbursement. Those who submit with their claim form documented proof of out-of-pocket losses are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of up to $5,000. The settlement agreement notes that losses must have been incurred as a result of the February 2024 data breach, and reimbursable expenses include those related to identity theft, fraud, falsified tax returns, credit monitoring costs, bank fees, or other consequences tied to the possible misuse of private consumer information.
In addition to, or in lieu of, a documented loss payment, all class members may file a claim to receive an alternate cash payment which, the settlement site says, will be a varying amount depending on the degree of compromised information a class member might have. It continues to explain that class members whose Social Security number was breached during the data incident (known as “Group 1 class members”) are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of up to $125. Alternatively, class members whose Social Security numbers were not compromised during the data breach (“Group 2 class members”) are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of up to $50.
Cash payments may become pro-rated depending on the total amount of valid claims submitted, the settlement agreement notes.
All class members are also eligible to enroll in two free years of CyEx Identity Defense Complete, which includes single-bureau credit monitoring services. Activation codes will be sent to eligible class members by the settlement administrator via email or to the address provided on their claim form.
To submit a Consulting Radiologists claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the unique ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF of the claim form from the settlement website, complete it, and return it by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Consulting Radiologists settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by March 2, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Consulting Radiologists data breach settlement at a hearing on February 25, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval is granted and any appeals are resolved.
The Consulting Radiologists data breach class action lawsuit alleged that the medical practice failed to implement and maintain effective security measures to safeguard patients’ personal information, resulting in a targeted data breach in February 2024. According to court documents, the information allegedly compromised included names, dates of birth, addresses, health insurance information, and, for a small subset of patients, Social Security numbers.
