The court-authorized website for the WorkWave data breach settlement can be found at WorkWaveDataSettlement.com.
The deal with the software solutions company received preliminary approval from the court on July 7, 2025 and covers all individuals in the United States whose personal information was exposed to unauthorized third parties as a result of the TEAM Software data breach, including those who received notice of the incident.
To receive monetary benefits and free credit monitoring services from the TEAM Software settlement, eligible class members must file a valid claim form online or by mail by November 4, 2025.
Head to this page to submit a WorkWave settlement claim form online. You will need to enter your last name and a unique ID number, which is typically found on the personalized settlement notice issued about the deal.
If you prefer to file by mail, you can complete and return the tear-off claim form included in the settlement notice you received or contact the settlement administrator to request a copy.
As part of the deal, class members can submit a claim form for two years of single-bureau identity theft protection and credit monitoring services, the settlement agreement says.
According to the official WorkWave settlement website, consumers may also file a claim for reimbursement of up to $5,000 per person for monetary losses that are “fairly traceable” to the data breach and supported by documentation. Per the site, such losses may include, for example, unreimbursed costs associated with fraud or identity theft; attorney, accountant, notary or credit repair service fees; charges linked to freezing or unfreezing credit; certain credit monitoring expenses; phone, travel, copying or postage fees; and other miscellaneous costs.
In addition, the website relays that class members who submit a timely, valid claim form are eligible to receive a pro-rated cash payment. The site notes that individual payout amounts will depend on what remains of the $1,500,000 settlement fund after deductions are made to cover attorneys’ fees, service awards, administrative costs and all other benefits.
Finally, TEAM Software has agreed to enhance its cybersecurity protocols to better protect its systems in the future, the website adds.
At a hearing on October 15, 2025, the court will decide whether to grant final approval to the terms of the settlement. The approval process may be prolonged by appeals, which must be resolved before settlement payouts and credit monitoring service activation codes are issued to eligible consumers, the site says.
According to the lawsuit against TEAM Software, negligent cybersecurity on the part of the company was to blame for the data breach, which potentially exposed individuals’ names, Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers to cybercriminals.
