The plaintiff in a class action filed in New York against Golden Knight Limousine Service, Inc., its sister-company and its owner claims the company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to pay appropriate overtime and minimum wages. According to the suit, which was filed by a former driver, the defendants never compensated the plaintiff at the proper rate for hours worked over 40 in a week or for spread-of-hours pay owed in New York for shifts longer than 10 hours in a day.
Covered by the proposed class are current and former limo drivers who are willing to file a claim to recover overtime and minimum wage compensation from the defendants.
