TalentLaunch class members who submit a timely, valid claim form are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in reimbursement for out-of-pocket, documented expenses resulting from the data breach. Eligible data breach losses and expenses include damages stemming from identity theft or fraud, costs of freezing and/or unfreezing credit reports, and other expenses “fairly traceable” to the TalentLaunch data incident.
Class members who submit a claim form for the reimbursement of out-of-pocket losses must provide documentation that reasonably supports their claim, the settlement site relays.
Those who file a timely, valid claim are also eligible to receive an estimated $53.77 cash payment, which may be increased or decreased on a pro rata basis depending on how much money remains in the settlement fund after the payment of attorneys’ fees, administration expenses, class representative awards and valid out-of-pocket-loss claims.

The initial class action lawsuit against TalentLaunch alleged the nationwide staffing and recruitment network failed to protect the sensitive personal information in its care amid a data breach reportedly detected in late May 2023. The information compromised in the incident included consumers’ names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license and state ID numbers, passport numbers, financial account details, digital signatures, medical and health insurance information, biometric information and mothers’ maiden names, the case said, accusing TalentLaunch of delaying its response to the incident for months while proposed class members were left in the dark.
