Tampa, Florida-based Davis Islands Pharmacy has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against defendants St. John's University and for-profit Getaway Seminars, Inc.
Tampa, Florida-based Davis Islands Pharmacy has filed a proposed class action lawsuit that claims defendants St. John’s University and for-profit Getaway Seminars, Inc. unlawfully sent unsolicited fax messages advertising “continuing education vacation packages” in violation of the junk fax provision contained within the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The faxes in question, which the case says were sent to at least 40 recipients, allegedly did not contain mandatory opt-out language.
