Pie Five Pizza Co. Slapped with Unpaid Wage Class Action

The owning entity of Pie Five Pizza Co. is the defendant in a proposed class action filed by a former employee who claims she was not paid for an average of 12 hours of off-the-clock work done every week in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Filed in Florida, the lawsuit alleges the plaintiff and proposed class members were regularly forced to continue working at the restaurant after punching out, resulting in unpaid regular and overtime wages. Further, the plaintiff claims she was terminated from her job for “discriminatory reasons.”
