Filed: May 31, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-03260
A former employee of N.L.R. Counter Tops, LLC has filed a lawsuit against the company and an individual owner claiming they withheld his required overtime wages.
A former employee of N.L.R. Counter Tops, LLC has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against the company and an individual owner claiming they withheld his required overtime wages. He says he worked between 48 and 55 hours per week for the defendants as a counter top installer and was paid a fixed weekly rate of $750. According to the complaint, the plaintiff was not always compensated for all the hours he worked and was not paid the time-and-a-half overtime rate he should have received for the hours he worked above 40 each week. He further alleges that the defendants neglected to provide him with weekly wage statements and failed to post wage notices informing employees of their rights.
