The Board of County Commissioners for Miami-Dade County, Florida is the defendant in a proposed class action that seeks to recover allegedly unpaid minimum and overtime wages. The plaintiff alleges that while employed as a supervisor at the Greater Miami Service Corps by the defendant, he routinely worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly overtime rate for hours worked past 40. The lawsuit seeks to recover at least three years’ worth of allegedly unpaid wages.
