Myers v. Intuit, Inc.
Filed: June 16, 2017 ◆§ 3:17-cv-01228-WQH-BLM
Intuit, Inc., the company behind QuickBooks, TurboTax and other popular financial software, allegedly owes current and former employees unpaid wages
A proposed collective and class action filed in California alleges Intuit, Inc., the company behind QuickBooks, TurboTax and other popular financial software, owes current and former employees unpaid wages due to its failure to factor bonuses issued under its “Spotlight Program” into employees’ regular rates of pay when calculating overtime. The plaintiff alleges she and other full-time services and support representatives worked varying hours of overtime and received “Spotlight Bonuses”—issued for good performance and longevity of service, the case says—yet received no increase in overtime wages.
