The owners and operators of Nerai Restaurant in New York have been hit with a class action lawsuit over apparent wage violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
The owners and operators of Nerai Restaurant in New York have been hit with a class action lawsuit over apparent wage violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). According to the 15-page suit, defendants Koureli Restaurant Group, Inc. and its owner failed to pay the legally required minimum wage for all hours worked. Additionally, the plaintiff, a former server, claims the defendants unlawfully allowed non-tipped employees to share in tips and failed to pay time-and-a-half overtime wages.
