Household product manufacturer Henkel Corporation is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that claims its Purex Crystals products contain 'slack-fill.'
Household product manufacturer Henkel Corporation is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that claims its Purex Crystals products contain “non-functional slack-fill.” The plaintiff in the case alleges that he bought the laundry additive and was surprised to find that 30% of the container was empty. The suit argues that companies like Henkel underfill opaque product containers to deceive consumers into thinking they are purchasing more for their money. The plaintiff argues that he never would have bought Henkel’s Purex Crystals had he known the package was only 70% full.
