Current and former employees have filed a proposed class action against Hartford Fire Insurance Company saying they’re owed unpaid overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The named plaintiffs, currently or previously responsible for processing disability claims, claim proposed class members were misclassified as exempt employees as a means for the defendant to avoid paying them overtime.
