A former and a current employee of Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against the company claiming it failed to reimburse them for uniforms.
A former and a current employee of Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against the company claiming it failed to reimburse them for uniforms. The suit alleges that employees are required to wear a green shirt and black pants while working at the defendant’s retail stores and that Dollar Tree fails to reimburse them for the cost of these “required clothing items.” According to the complaint, the cost of the uniforms is “particularly burdensome” because most employees are paid minimum wage. The suit claims violations of the California Labor Code, IWC Wage Order No. 7, the California Code of Civil Procedure, and the California Business & Professions Code.
